Please note that we need to setup the email account initially on the mail server before the following steps can take place.

Mircosoft Outlook 2003 email account setup is fairly straight forward if you do not have an existing POP 3 email account setup.

If you already have an existing Microsoft Outlook 2003 email account, then you would follow the same steps listed to add the new one.

Email account setup instructions

Open Microsoft Outlook 2003 from the Mircosoft Windows Start Menu, go to the Tools menu and then select Email Accounts.

On the Email Accounts window, go to the Add a new email account option and click Next to proceed to the next step.

On the Email Accounts window, go to the POP3 option and click Next to proceed to the next step.

On the Email Accounts window, enter the following details (look below image for text details) and click Next to go to the next step.

On the Email Accounts window, click Finish to complete setup.

On the Email Accounts window, enter the following user, server and logon information:

	User Information
	Your Name:	Your Name
	Email Address:	[email protected]

	Server Information
	Incoming mail server (POP3):	mail.yourdomain.com
	Outgoing mail server (SMTP):	mail.optusnet.com.au*
		* Your Internet Service Provider's mail server. The example used is for OptusNet.

	Logon Information
	User Name:	[email protected]
	Password:	• • • •

Default email account setup instructions

Open Microsoft Outlook 2003 from the Mircosoft Windows Start Menu.

Go to the Tools menu and then select Email Accounts.

On the Email Accounts window, go to the View or change existing email accounts option and click Next to go to the next step.

On the Email Accounts window, select your Account, then select Set as Default, and click Finish to complete default email account setup.
